Today we are talking about my Go-To Purse! I gotta say that I’m a gal that likes to switch it up a bit when it comes to purses BUT ever sinceI’ve got this purse, I keep going back to it. It’s the perfectsize to fit all my essentials and so easy to throw over my shoulder and go. This is a Kate Spade Black crossbody purse and I’ve had this one for about 3 years now. The leather has barely any imperfections on it after having it all this time. Unfortunately, they don’t make the same style that I own anymore but below I have attached some that are of similar style and color as mine.
I’m in love with the third one featured and almost bought it a couple of weeks ago. The only reason I didn’t is because I love the one I already have. I have to share with you all my Go-To Phone Case that I’ve had for almost a year now. It’s a marble holographic case and it’s from the brand Milkyway. I have to be honest, before I purchased from this website, I knew nothing about them. I needed a phone case for my phone and they had exactly what I wanted for a decent price. I paid less than $20 for this phone case so I didn’t have a high expectation. It was so worth the purchase though. This phone case still looks new on the back and there’s only a little bit of wear on the rubber area around the front of the screen. The color of the rubber is a darker shade than it’s original state. I have loved this case from the minute I’ve gotten it and have received so many compliments for it. Today I’m excited to share with you my recent haul/favorites from one of my favorite makeup lines, Tarte Cosmetics! Tarte has been one of those companies that has been growing on me the last couple of years. I know that Tarte has gotten a bad wrap from famous makeup gurus and such in the past but I have to say that I personally love them. Recently they just finished up a sale (which is when I do most of my shopping from them) and I bought a couple of new products & some I needed refills of. Before I share with you all my recent purchases and my favorite products I use by them, I wanted to share why I use their personal website to order their products.
For starters, multiple retailers sell Tarte Cosmetics including Ulta and Sephora. You may be asking, why doesn’t she just order it from there? Well, I’ll tell ya why. Tarte Cosmetics has this really awesome point system on their personal website (tartecosmetics.com) that gives you points just for signing up for their system, browsing their website, creating a profile, following their social media accounts, buying products, and more! Rewards include percentages off purchases, money off purchases (up to $20), Tarte specialty gifts, and also makeup. It may not seem that exciting to you but it only cost 800 points to receive $10 off a purchase which is really awesome. I loved that these points gave such an exclusive coupon that saved me a nice chunk of change. Depending on how much you spend will determine the amount of points you’ll receive. I’ve noticed that the majority of the points given out after purchases have been anywhere from 25-150. With these points, it’s not super difficult to get to the better prizes available. You only need to make a few purchases before you’re ready to use those points on some good coupons or free makeup.
Not only is the point system make it all worth it, the sales that frequent on the site are a big selling point to me as well. Sephora rarely has sales and Ulta usually only includes prestige items in their sales for a very limited time. Tarte Cosmetics website pretty frequently has sales going on and cool promos for their customers. When there isn’t a sale currently going on, I also figured out a way to get a percentage off a purchase. As long as you have an account and are logged in, I usually placed multiple products in my cart on my safari and leave it there for a day or two. In two days, my email will have a coupon code for 15% off to go and buy those products that are still in my cart. So if there isn’t a sale going on, that’s a good trick to keep up your sleeve. I also have a link that I’ll leave right here that will also give you 15% off your purchase (this one you won’t have to wait around for 😉).
Tartiest Pro Eyelashes in LCL (I’ve been eyeing these lashes up for a while and I have to say that they did not disappoint! They are exactly what I was looking for: full, long, and dramatic.)Deep Dive Cleansing Gel (This face wash is one of the products I needed refilled. I bought the travel sized version in a gift set this Christmas and I’ve been hooked ever since. I tried to use in sparingly until another sale came along so I jumped at the chance to purchase this during this last recent sale. It is a little pricey for a face wash in my opinion but I love the feeling it gives my face so it was worth it to me.)Girl Boss Goodies Skin & Color Set (I gotta be honest, this set was a tad random to me. (Haha) Why did I get it then? Well for starters, in the gift set I got for Christmas this moisturizer was in it and I loved it. So to be able to get it for $12 plus two extra makeup products I thought that was a steal. Second, I was in need of mascara and I see people raving about this mascara all the time. I figured I would see what all the hype was about and I have to say I’m pretty impressed so far. Lastly, this lip color looked really pretty from the pictures. The lipstick is a mini version and a tad flimsy but overall I like the product.)Girls Just Wanna Have Sun Bronze & Sun Set (I’ve been all about the bronzing products recently because I’m super pasty. 😂 I need some color added to my body before the sun fully decides to grace us with her presences. Besides, this gift box is on sale for $12 so I thought that was also a steal!)
My Other Tarte Favorites:
1. Busy Gal Brows in Medium Brown (This product is amazing because it’s super easy to apply and only take 5 seconds each eyebrow. It’s truly the busy gals perfect brow product!)
4. Rainforest of the Sea Radiance Drops (Not only is this great for creating a dewy look under your mascara but you can also use this as a highlighter.)
6. Rainforest of the Sea Sizzle Eyeshadow Palette (The best thing about this eyeshadow palette is the pigment is super blend-able and it’s suggested that you apply the product with your fingers for the best result. It’s makes it super easy to use for a makeup lover at any level.)
I used all the products from Tarte Cosmetics that I featured above to create this makeup look in this photo.
Following along step by step to create this look:
Starting with the foundation that you’ve already applied, grab your Creaseless Concealer and apply it to your under eyes, bridge of your nose, and in-between your eyebrows feathering up towards your forehead. Blend that into your foundation.
Next, grab your bronzer that came with your Girls Just Wanna Have Sun Set. Apply the bronzer in the area below your cheekbone (the hollow area) from inner ear to area below the center of your eye. You want that line your creating with the bronzer to aim towards your mouth in a downward diagonal .
Make sure your use your setting powder to set your foundation and concealer before moving onto the next step.
Moving onto your brows, grab your Busy Gal Brows and brush it over your eyebrows.
Now grab your Pro To Go Palette and dip your brush into the color ‘crisp’. Place this color into the crease of your eye and buff it in until it’s blended well.
Once you’ve blended ‘Crisp’ in your crease, pull out your Sizzle Palette and apply the color ‘high tide’ to your mid mid to outer corner. Then dip your next finger into ‘kite surf’ and fill in that color from your inner to mid mid. Lastly, dip your finger into ‘playa’ and place it on your brow bone. If you want to place a little bit of sparkle on your brow bone you can dip your finger back into ‘kite surf’ and swipe that below the brow.
Once your eyeshadow is applied, make sure you go back with your fluffy powder brush and brush off that excess powder. Then grab your blush and apply that to the apples of your cheeks.
If you’re an eyeliner type of gal, apply your eyeliner and then grab your mascara included in your Girl Boss Goodies Set. Apply the Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara to your lashes below you apply your fake lashes.
It’s FALSIES time!! Grab your Lights, Camera, Lashes Falsies and apply these beauties to your lash line.
Once your lashes are on, there is only one more step for us to take and that is lipstick. Grab your Tartiest Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in ‘Bestie’ and apply that to your lips first. Once dry, go in with your Color Splash Lipstick in ‘Pink Sands’ and put that over top the matte lip paint. I like to apply it overtop because the color pops over the matte nude.
And just like that, you created a fabulous Tarte makeup look! Have fun creating your own looks with all the different colors these palettes and sets include. I bet you’ll love what Tarte has to offer!
Do you ever just have those days where the thought of washing and drying your hair is just not on your agenda? Those days when you wake up late and washing your hair will take too long. I think we’ve all been there and I’m here to share with you my favorite way to solve those problems. I use the Dove Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo. I’ve been using it for about 6 yearsnow. I have tried multiple types of dry shampoo, I always came back to Dove’s though. It’s handy tool to have on those days like I mentioned before. Can you believe Easter is this coming weekend? This year has been flying by and I totally forgot to buy myself something to wear for Easter. I figured that I’m probably not the only person so I decided to throw together a blog post for all of you that are forgetful like me (haha). Today I’m bringing you some of my recent spring finds that I’ve been posting about on my Instagram stories and feed. I’ve been buying pieces here and there from different stores and couldn’t do a specific haul for you all, so I thought why not just combine them all for a recent Spring haul? So here we go friends:
Blue Light Blocking Glasses – About a few weeks ago I shared these glasses with you all on my Instagram stories and mentioned how these are supposed to protect my eyes from the blue light coming from our phones, tablets, etc. so far I’ve been using these almost every night I’m home while I lay in bed with my different electronic devices. I have to be honest, I don’t feel a huge difference BUT I can say that I feel like I get a better night’s sleep. Whether that’s psychological or the glasses are actually working, I’m totally okay with. Who could complain about getting good sleep? Haha
Dunkin Donut’s PEEPS Marshmellow Flavored Coffee – So I have to start and say that I don’t have a link for this new flavored coffee because it can only be purchased at Dunkin Donuts. What I can tell you is that this flavor is surprisingly good. I’m not a PEEPS fan at all but this coffee taste very good. If you were on the fence about giving it a try, I’d say go for it. It has more of a vanilla flavor than anything else. So, go for it PEEPS! 😉
Crystal Sandals– I just received these shoes yesterday so I couldn’t feature them in the photos but you HAVE to click the link and check these out. They come in 3 different colors and the sandals are stunning! 😍 I’m so excited to pair these with a cute spring dress and wear them out and about.
American Eagle Shorts from TJ-Maxx- Unfortunately, I couldn’t find these shorts online anywhere but let me tell you all about it. These shorts are a STEAL! Super comfy, cute, can be dressed up, and only $6!!! They had multiple different styles and patterns of these $6 shorts and I am living for them. I’m all about looking cute and feeling comfy, so if you are too these shorts are for you.
Pacifica Face Sunscreen and Travel Size Hawaiian Tropic’s Sun Tan Lotion – If you followed my post from a few weeks ago “What’s in my Bag? -Disney Edition” you will notice that I already mentioned these sunscreens before. I’m so excited to share with you all these Disney Villains inspired makeup looks! Colourpop Cosmetics came out with a Disney Villains inspired line that features all of your favorite villainous characters. I decided to create looks for my two favorite Disney Villains, Cruella de Vil & the Evil Queen. So here they are!
Lipstick (I didn’t purchase the Cruella lipstick because the color was too orange and wouldn’t look good on my skin tone. Usually blondes look better in orange tones versus brunette look better in a blue red tone. Of course, this is my opinion, use your own discretion when deciding what colors work for you.)
1. Start with your base makeup, you can follow the first couple of steps on my basic makeup routine post.
2. Grab a fluffy eyeshadow brush and apply “Grumpy” to your crease.
3. Grab a more dense brush to apply “Magic Carpet” to your outer corner and lower lash line.
4. Next I used the Super Shock Shadow in the color “A Whole New World” and applied it on my lid with my finger. If you own this palette but do not have the Super Shock shadow, “Poison Apple” would work too. The Super Shock shadow is just super easy to blend and had an iridescent glitter that I was dying to try which is why I chose that over the purple in the palette.
5. After that, I dipped my finger into ” Prince Charming” and applied that on my brow bone.
6. I then went in with my eyeliner, mascara, and fake lashes and applied those all before moving onto my highlighter and lipstick.
7. Apply “Fairest of them All” highlighter to your brow bone, Cupid’s bow, and bridge of your nose.
8. Then finish your look off with the “Evil Queen” lipstick.

Summer is on its way which means one thing for our hair, beachy waves please! I don’t know about you, but I’m all about working the beachy hair all summer long. It’s definitely a go-to look for me because I don’t like to use a lot of heat on my hair during the summer months. So I just grab my bottle of Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray (linked to the photo) and spray all through my hair to look beach ready. Using this spray also makes my hair maintenance routine super quick and easy. If you’re someone who can appreciate a quick and easy hair routine, this is one for you. All I do is after I wash my hair and comb through it, I spray this in my hair, blow dry it, then twist my hair and clip it up while I do my makeup. Once I’m ready to leave I take the hair out then tossle it and that’s it! Super simple, easy, and you end up with gorgeous waves. What more can you ask for? Haha what’s your go-to hairstyle for summer?
I’m so excited to share with you all that in just one week I’ll be at the Happiest Place on Earth, Walt Disney World! It’s truly one of my favorite places to be and I can’t wait to be back. I thought while I was packing it would be fun to share with your guys my must haves that I pack for park days. Portable Phone Charger (This is not the same one that I own, but I thought this was incredibly cute and on sale for a great price.)
Face Sunblock (Amazing sunblock, especially underneath your makeup. Highly recommend this for anyone in need of a skin protector.)
Sunblock & After Sun Lotion (If you noticed in my picture featured above, I have a travel sized bottle of each of these but couldn’t find a link to them online. Instead I featured the full bottles products. What I like to do is if they don’t have a travel sized product that is a favorite of mine, I purchase those travel sized TSA approved bottles and fill those up with the desired product.)
Friction Defense (No shame, I gotta protect these thicker thighs of mine and use this stick to avoid getting blisters. If you like wearing shorts in warm weather but have problems with your thighs rubbing, try out this stick. It’s a life saver and keeps you pain free during your vacay!)
Umbrella (I own a Vera Bradley one and have had it for 7 years now. It’s a great umbrella and still in quality shape. I linked an umbrella by Vera Bradley, just with a different pattern since mine is discontinued.)
Sunglasses Case (I used to always end up with broken sunglasses at the end of vacations but no more with a sunglasses case. The one I have featured about is a Disney one but I linked a super cute one from Quay Australia that I think you guys will love.)

Tums Travel Size (Just in case you get a stomach ache, these are amazing to take care of you so you can enjoy your vacation. Usually when I drink a sugary alcoholic drink, my stomach starts to hurt a little, so I just pop one of these in and they make me instantly feel better.)
